On May 27, 2008, marked a milestone on my life history which is I finally managed to get a car of my own..
Basically i was overjoyed and not mentioning speechless when i got to drive it home after waiting for like 3 months since the day i made the booking...
But before i continue with the story of this "historical moment" of mine, i'll do a recap of what i had to endure before i actually owned this piece of moving metal. Basically it started since like forever i had been wanting a car, but none of my parents can afford to buy me one.. Hence i've been a faithful bicylist cum public transport user :) So after a few months of saving up the dough for downpayment, i called up my dad and asked him to accompany me to do the bookings (Owh yes, my dad is the perfect companion in dealing all these kind of process and procedures.. somehow he just knows everything thats needed to know. For that i really thank you Abah). So off we went to the Damansara Mutiara Proton Edar to book my new knight rider. I actually ordered a black colored standard spec (m-line) model, but due to no stock available after 2 months of waiting, the sale agent called me up one day and asked me if i were to change to the H-line which is more expensiv cause it comes it airbags and ABS. (Note to Proton : shouldn't these safety stuffs be compulsory and standardize? hmmm....) To cut this lame story short, i managed to secured a Perlis registered plate number cause i like the "R" as starting alphabet and not forgetting Perlis's plate still comes with 2 letters only. hehehhee
So anyway, back to the present... I took a half day off from work to pick up the knight rider. Lin Mucuk however had asked if she could join me during the car delivery and also take her to UiTM to return her convocation robe which she had used a day earlier on her Convocation day (PS : Congrats Dear for your convocation, sorry if i didnt remember to wish u earlier :D ) So after finishing up my work off i went to pick her up at her huge house that i've never being invited to go in :P . Sent her to the overly crowded UiTM (it was the convo week, so go figure) then we had lunch after meeting with abah at the Mobil Station. Its been a few years since abah had last seen Lin and he was shocked to see her again.. And the thing that really captured my attention was, and i quote " Naper Lin nampak cam dah kecik??" Well, after having lunch, we went to the dealership, did a not quite 50 points (suppose to be 50 in the form) of inspection before the dealer can deliver me the keys to my black piece of hansome looking huge metal.
So there it is.. one of my dream had come true... after getting the car, we actually had to drove back to abah's place cause Lin left her keys inside the old NiteRider huhuhu... before we went back to Shah Alam and had Nan Garlic for dinner.. Phew!!! Wut a day!
Again.. i thank Lin and Abah for all their help and support during my car-less days till now :)
